Nashville, TN (October 10, 2008) - Solas, "an Irish traditional band bearing all the marks of greatness" (The Wall Street Journal), will appear live on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor this Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 5pm CST. For local listings click here.
Solas’ August 2008 release, For Love and Laughter, has received rave reviews from The Washington Post, The Irish Voice and The Washington Times ("a leading light in the Irish-American music scene"). Solas is currently featured on the cover of Irish Music Magazine and were recently guests on the syndicated radio show Echoes. Solas’ interview with the BBC’s Mike Harding will air October 22, 2008.
Solas will also perform live on Mountain Stage this Sunday, October 12th and will begin touring the UK and Ireland October 23. Founding member Seamus Egan’s musical collaboration with Sarah McLachlan on the hit song, "I Will Remember You", will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming feature film, The Lucky Ones, starring Tim Robbins and Rachel McAdams.
